RLC Red Star Belgrade proudly announce that two active players will take over coaching in season 2021. Stefan Nedeljković and Vojislav Dedić will become interim head coaches ahead of the Serbian season kicking off in just a matter of weeks.
While this is an exciting prospect, we are also saddened that due to the ongoing situation in regards to international travel, current Red Star Belgrade RLK head coach Phil Economidis will be unable to rejoin the team under current circumstances.
Serbian internationals, Dedić and Nedeljković have been mainstays in the squad for a number of years and have been instrumental in the clubs success. Both players have been part of the club's Senior Leadership Team and Dedić captaining the team for a number of years.
VOJISLAV DEDIĆ is looking forward to the challenge in 2021.
What do you think the biggest challenge this year will be?
"Like every year the biggest challenge is to defend all the trophies we won previous year."
What is current training structure and what you hope the boys will develop?
"We are currently focusing on fitness, but later on we hope to develop game awareness and for every player to know his role in every moment of the game."
Talking on their appointment STEFAN NEDELJKOVIĆ had this to say:
What do you plan to bring as coach?
"Spending a lot of time in past 3 years with the boys on and off the field taught me that every player needs to be taken care of individually. I will try and reach every player and help them develop in areas that needs to be taken care of."
How you think this will develop you personaly?
"It is huge task in front of me and Voja, and I know this will help me develop my strategic skills and also increase my knowledge of working with people."
